Naim Uniti Star firmware update 3.8.5

Naim Audio’s software team has released a firmware update for Uniti Star that fixes reported playback issues following the ripping of a CD.

Following the installation of the firmware update 3.8.5, the display on Uniti Star will now turn off whilst the CD is ripping and for the duration of the data transfer, staying off for a short period following completion. This is to ensure the most accurate rip possible, increasing the data integrity during transfer resulting in a truly reliable rip every time. Whilst the screen is off, transfer progress can be monitored through the Focal & Naim app.

As with all firmware updates, version 3.8.5 can be installed via the Naim app:

• Launch the Naim app
• Choose Uniti Star
• Select the Updates Available icon
• If there is an update available, select Install
• Alternatively select the Settings icon
• Select Check for updates
• If there is an update available, select Install
